A Timely Cure — Abnish Singh Chauhan

It is not incurable—
the pain of the mind,
rising
from the depths of the heart,
spreading
to the brain
with relentless speed.

It is not incurable—
our distorted thoughts,
that drive us
to act in ways
that, over time,
become the very cause
of our own suffering.

Isn’t it an undeniable truth—
no ailment is too great?
Only a wise vaidya1 is needed,
one who, by understanding
the balance of vata, pitta, and kapha,2
can offer a timely cure—
for both the truly ailing
and those who feign sickness.
