Slowly, Slowly — Abnish Singh Chauhan
Slowly, Slowly,
everything fades away—
the strength,
the courage,
the ability,
the enthusiasm,
and so much more,
leading the body to sink
into its final rest
in this world of ours.
All the dreams
shatter,
like bubbles of water.
Tears slip away,
from weary eyes,
cascading down,
until they dry
the well of sorrow.
What will remain—
just a few sweet words,
a few cherished memories,
dancing on a rose branch,
where bees flutter,
accompanied by butterflies?
